If the name of a given song is unknown, the "ZAPPIN" feature can be initiated to provide a 6, 9 or 30-second preview of any selection. USB connectivity enables native support of all leading Mp3 players such as Apple iPods and Sony Walkman devices, with an integrated "Tune Tray" provided to store any external units and minimize cluttering. In addition to Mp3 playback the DSX-MS60 also supports AAC and WMA files, and incorporates a codec enhancer that helps to restore full quality to compressed audio. Satellite and HD radio services are available through Sony's bus adapters for seamless signal reception, with RDS (Radio Data System) technology included to display artist and track information from participating AM and FM stations. The receiver also features RCA outputting for native subwoofer pre-amplification and cross-connectivity to external amplifier units.
