Sony Xplod CDX-GT420IP
$129.95
Released January, 2011
The Pros:Display is easy to read even in direct sunlight. IPod interface is easy to work with while you're driving. Sound output is rich and full, does a good job filling out compressed audio.
The Cons:Screen is overly bright at night, can be distracting, and you need to turn the brightness down manually every time. Security beeps (reminder to remove the faceplate) can't be disabled. Radio doesn't get the greatest signal, can't play back weak signals too well.
The Sony Xplod CDXGT420IP GT Series Head Unit is designed for iPod users who wish to interface the device easily and conveniently with their car audio system. It comes with an iPod direct cable allowing control of the iPod through the head unit.
