Pioneer DEH-P610BT
$319.00
Released January, 2009
The Pros:Bluetooth connects clearly without any distortion in the audio. Integrates well with the HD radio adapter, outputs clear HD audio. Plenty of power output, doesn't need an amplifier.
The Cons:Navigating the menu while driving is nearly impossible, too involved. Can't make simple adjustments without going into the menu. General interface is confusing, need to read the manual.
The Pioneer DEH-P610BT is a slightly more expensive member of the Pioneer line of A/V headunits and CD receivers. It comes ready for HD Radio, XM radio and Sirius Radio. Like the other members of the Pioneer brand, the unit comes with a Bluetooth hands free solution - the ability to connect to Bluetooth enabled cellphones and act like a speakerphone for them.

When a call comes in to a connected cellphone, the music is muted so the driver won't miss any important calls. Included in the Pioneer DEH-P610BT package is a iPod cable to connect and use an iPod with the car's audio system. Unlike cheaper models, the unit has a more extensive list of functions to use with the ipod, such as alphabet search and link play. The Pioneer DEH-P610BT also comes with a USB input in the front of the device, and an AUX input for other types of portable media devices.
