The Pros:Large number of expandability options for more functionality. Works perfectly with the iPhone, no compatibility complaints. Installation is easy enough for amateur installers with a wiring harness.

Pioneer's Advanced Sound Retrieval system enhances audio reproduction up to 20 kHz frequencies, restoring the lost sound in compressed MP3/WMA files etc. The unit can be controlled by a passenger directly, and the list button can be held to show a list of artists on your device. The Supertuner IIID ensures a strong broadcast signal, with less distortion and noise. There are also 3 RCA Hi-volt (4 V) pre-outs for adding external amps, and a MOSFET, built-in 50 W x 4 amplifier for reduced distortion and a cleaner sound. With a bluetooth-capable cell phone, it is possible to make and receive calls through the head-unit's microphone and hear people through the car's speakers. The DEH-4001HD, is a slightly updated version of the DEH-4000UB and also has a 7-way rotary commander. The wireless remote makes the unit easier to control, and the HD radio is an exclusive AM/FM system with over 1000 HD radio stations to listen to without monthly fees.
