Pioneer DEH-11E

$80.00 Released January, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Even though you cannot play MP3 discs, it does have a port for connecting an MP3/iPod. Inexpensive. Radio Tuner is crystal clear.

The Cons:Does not play MP3 discs. Buttons and controls are not easy to operate or see. Faceplate is a chore to put back on, does not snap back in easily.

The Pioneer DEH-11E is a well-priced, car-audio CD receiver with a 200w (peak) and 4-channel MOSFET amplifier. The second of seven Pioneer DEH receivers, the Pioneer DEH-11E is a slight downgrade from the Pioneer DEH-1100MP in that it does not offer either a wireless remote or support for MP3 or WMA files.

The DEH-11E, however, does play traditional CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs. In addition, the DEH-11E features a traditional AM/FM tuner that utilizes Pioneer’s proprietary SuperTuner III technology to reduce distortion and output only exceptional-quality reception. The DEH-11E also sports a front auxiliary port for connecting various portable devices such as an MP3/iPod music player, a 3-band equalizer with six preset tone settings, 2-channel preamp outputs, and a wireless remote control. The Pioneer DEH-1100MP retails for a slightly more expensive $80.00 (versus $100.00) and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
