The Pros:Sound quality is clear and undistorted. Plays a number of digital formats, including MP3 and WMA. Easy to pause music on the fly, remembers where you were when you start the car again.
The Cons:Hard to adjust the tone of the audio while driving, it's all buried in menus. Display is hard to read on sunny days. Can't automatically play a series of folders on a USB device, just one folder at a time.
The KDC-MP145 is a low-end car audio receiver from Kenwood. It lacks USB connectivity, featuring only an AUX input for portable media devices, in addition to an AM/FM tuner and a CD player which supports MP3 and WMA audio files.

The 1-DIN receiver utilizes a single-line display, and a remote control is optional. Equipped with a single 2V preamp output, the KDC-MP145 outputs up to 50 W per channel, or 200 W in total. A step up, the KDC-MP245 adds a second preamp output and comes with a standard remote control.
