Kenwood DNX7120

$1,400.00 Released February, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Unit remembers and reverts back to last active function once powered up - very beneficial for users listening to a certain radio station or following a navigational route. Video display is sharp and clear - plays back video content with minimal lag/blurring issues for excellent in-car viewing. Garmin GPS navigation is excellent - works just as well as official Garmin hardware, providing accurate locational data and clear, accurate directions.

The Cons:Takes a fairly long amount of time to boot up - users can be expected to wait between 20 and 30 seconds before gaining full unit access. Lack of data interfaces makes software updating very difficult - many users are forced to purchase DVDs with upgrade data due to lack of SD card readability or similar. Channel favorites hard-buttons are limited to 6 - may disappoint users who are used to 8 or 10 hard presets as common to A/V units from Alpine and Pioneer.

The Kenwood DNX7120 is a expensive high-end full-featured entertainment and navigation system. The DNX7120 comes with Garmin navigation technology built-in and includes pre-installed maps of United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii and over 6 million points of interest all through text to voice guidance for hands free driving navigation.
