The JVC KD-AVX820 is an in-dash CD/DVD/USB car-multimedia receiver outfitted with a 7.0” widescreen touch panel display, a proximity sensor, and a detachable face. The second of two JVC KW-AVX A/V head units, the JVC KW-AVX820 is an upgrade from the JVC KW-AVX720 in that it isn’t just HD Radio Ready, Satellite Radio Ready, and Bluetooth compatible.

In fact, the KW-AVX820 comes equipped with a USB Bluetooth adapter (receiver, transmitter, antenna) and a high-quality external wired microphone for hands-free phone calling and wireless audio streaming. In addition, the KW-AVX820 sports a CD/DVD player that supports WAV/MP3/WMA audio files, DivX/MPEG1/MPEG2 video files, and JPEG picture files. Plus, the KD-AVX820 sports a full-speed USB 2.0 port for iPod/iPhone(s), USB flash memory, digital audio players, and portable HDD connections with 2-way control for iPod/iPhone(s). The KW-AVX820 also boasts a 7-band iEQ, a built-in MOSFET amplifier with a 200w max power output, a traditional AM/FM tuner, a wireless remote, and 5V front/read/subwoofer pre-outputs with a subwoofer control. The JVC KW-AVX820 retails for $709.95 (versus $549.95) and comes with a 1 year limited warranty. Additional service plans are available for a fee.
