JVC KD-R200
$100.00
Released January, 2009
The Pros:AUX input. Affordable price. Includes wireless remote.
The Cons:No HD or satellite radio. No Bluetooth compatibility. No iPod / USB support.
The JVC KD-R200 is an in-dash car-audio receiver that features a built-in MOSFET amplifier with a 200w max power output. The third of six JVC KD A/V head units, the JVC KD-R200 is an affordable downgrade from its predecessors (the JVC KD-HDR20 and JVC KD-HDR50) in that it is neither Bluetooth Compatible nor Satellite Radio Ready.

Plus, the KD-R200 trades in its upgraded peers’ HD radio in favor of a regular SD AM/FM radio. Despite its downgraded nature, the KD-R200 still includes a bevy of features such as a CD player that supports traditional CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs, not to mention those outfitted with MP3 & WMA music files. In addition, the KD-R200 sports a front auxiliary input, a wireless remote, a 3-band iEQ (versus 7-band), a detachable face, a low-pass filter and subwoofer level control, a 24-bit digital-to-analog converter, and 2-channel (versus 4-channel) preamp outputs. The JVC KD-R200 retails for an affordable $99.95 and comes with a 1 year limited warranty. Additional service plans are available for a fee.
