Released December, 2009
The Pros:Installation is made fairly simple, most people handy with wiring can handle it. Display is sharp and clear, everything looks great. Looks impressive with lots of flashy details.
The Cons:Reading a disc is a very slow process, takes a long time to start playing. If the road is bumpy at all it can't read a disc most of the time. Touchscreen is slow to respond, lots of lag.
The Boss BV9992 is a high end car audio and video receiver. This is identical to the Boss BV9996B, but lacks Bluetooth and hands-free calling. While it is functionally similar to the Boss BV9994I, this does not have full iPod integration and the panel layout is more elaborate on the BV9992.
