Alpine IVA-W203/P1
$1,200.00
Released November, 2008
The Pros:Shows GPS information clearly in high contrast. Quick search of music libraries enables the use of large music collections. Steering wheel control works consistently, provides a fair amount of functionality.
The Cons:GPS system tends to need to reset itself on startup. Takes a long time to calculate routes to destination. Not enough tactile button controls - relies too heavily on the touch screen for UI.
The Alpine IVA-W203/P1 in-dash unit combines media capabilities with GPS navigation, making it one of the most multi-functional ofAlpine's 2008 models. With inputs that allow use of iPods, Bluetooth cell phones and external gaming systems, as well as 2D and 3D maps with turn-by-turn directions, the IVA-W203/P1 looks to be Alpine's "jack of all trade" model.
