The CDE-9872 CD/MP3 receiver from Alpine was released in November of 2007. It sports an optional full speed iPod connection and a percentage search function to find the most frequently played songs from a connected iPod’s library.

A high-speed crossover is standard and adjustable to 80, 120, or 160 Hz in an effort to protect factory speakers. The base of 16 watts per channel can be upgraded to 45 watts while a Sub output can be used to power a sub-woofer. The sub-woofer level can be adjusted from -15db to 0db in 1db increments. The CDE-9872 is also compatible with Bluetooth devices, with an adpater, satellite and HD radio as well as having 12 FM presets and 6 AM presets.
