The Alpine CDA-118M is a waterproof audio receiver intended for use in boats. It is built to resist salt fog and UV light in addition to water. The CDA-118M features a 1.8 DIN form factor and a 2-line, sunlight-readable LCD display.

Its feature set is similar to that of mid-range car head units, with a standard CD player and AM/FM tuner in addition to a USB port for iPod/iPhone connectivity. QuickSearch technology aims to make it easy to find music from a connected iPod via the receiver's interface. Dedicated volume controls are included for the each of the three preamp outputs. Separately purchased adapters add support for HD radio, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and IMPRINT Sound, a suite of audio customization options.
